Britney Spears is continuing to share her story.

Since being freed from her 13-year conservatorship, the pop star has been speaking out about how she was unfairly treated throughout that period of her life.

Not only did she have next to no control over her professional or personal life, the 40-year-old recently claimed she was forced to go to therapy “against [her] will.”

Forced Into “10 Hours a Day” Therapy Sessions

In a video shared to Instagram on Thursday, December 2, the “Toxic” singer actually reenacted what her therapy sessions used to be like, playing both herself and her therapist in the skit.

“As much therapy as I’ve had to do against my will … being forced to pay and listen to women telling me how they are going to further my success,” Britney captioned the video.

“It was a joy … no really … 10 hours a day, 7 days a week … no lie … in this beautiful nation it would only be fair for me to dedicate my life to skits to the wonderful therapist!!!! I genuinely thank you dear sweethearts for your efforts !!!”

Conservatorship Ended in November

While Britney’s conservatorship officially ended in November, it took years of legal battles and court appearances.

In fact, during a court hearing back in June, the mother of two detailed her experience with her “very abusive” therapist, claiming she had to see him three times a week.

“I’ve never in the past had to see a therapist more than once a week. It takes too much out of me going to this man I don’t know,” she said at the time, according to Variety.

“Number one, I’m scared of people. I don’t trust people with what I’ve been through. And the clever setup of being in Westlake, one of the most exposed places in Westlake, which, yesterday, paparazzi showed me coming out of the place literally crying in therapy. It’s embarrassing, and it’s demoralizing.”

Finally In a Better Place

Now that the conservatorship has been terminated, it does seem like Britney is in a better place.
