The Biggest Celebrity Feuds

Celebrity drama never gets old, at least not for those of us who don't have to deal with it first-hand! These are the feuds that just never seem to end! Hey, not everyone has to get along, right?

Drama-filled feuds are nothing new in Hollywood.

Some feuds aren’t as real as we’re led to believe, like the manufactured stuff we were fed in the early 2000s. No, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera weren’t really enemies battling it out or anything.

But some celebrity feuds really are for real. That “I’m going to let you finish” moment at the VMAs was not staged, and it really did turn into a massive years-long feud between Taylor Swift and Kanye West. While many celeb feuds are entertaining, others have actually changed the course of beloved movie franchises and TV series. The beef between Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson and Vin Diesel meant no more Luke Hobbs in the franchise. And the long-standing clash between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall meant no more Samantha Jones in Sex and the City.

Let’s take a look at some of the juiciest, longest-running celebrity feuds. I’m here for the drama!

Martha Stewart and Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow has been trying to establish herself as the queen of the lifestyle space, but we already have a queen, and her name is Martha Stewart. Uh, she “started the whole category of lifestyle,” Gwenyth.

Perhaps the OG lifestyle expert has some qualms with Paltrow’s lifestyle website, Goop. Over the years, she’s doled out plenty of advice – much of which experts have either debunked as false claims or pointed out as downright dangerous. No, you can’t ease anxiety and improve strength with some expensive stickers, and you should definitely not steam your, uh, nether regions.

So you can probably understand why Martha threw some serious shade at Goop’s founder: “She just needs to be quiet. She’s a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn’t be trying to be Martha Stewart.” Ouch.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall

We all know the real reason why Kim Cattrall didn’t reprise her role in the Sex and the City reboot, right? There were so many stories of friction between Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker from the original Sex and the City series. Rumor has it that the feud initially began over money, with Cattrall feeling like she deserved a higher salary. Cattrall had issues while filming the movies and has also been blamed for the third movie getting scrapped.

Since then, the two have remained enemies. Cattrall has gone on the record to claim the set of SatC was a toxic work environment, and that she and her co-stars were never friends. And after her brother passed, Catrall dropped a bomb on Instagram. In it, she called SJP “cruel” and said, “You are not my family. You are not my friend.”

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry

Drama and feuds are no new thing when it comes to pop stars, but Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have had some “Bad Blood” between them on an epic scale. Swift told Rolling Stone that Perry “tried to sabotage an entire arena tour” by attempting to steal backup dancers out from under her. Swift’s “Bad Blood” was about the feud, and Perry’s “Swish Swish” is considered the response. But the best part was when Perry told James Corden that Swift started the whole thing and it was up to her to finish it.

They have supposedly patched things up or at least are being cordial these days. Apparently, Perry sent a literal olive branch, and Swift responded with peace cookies, and we saw them hug it out in Swift’s “You Need to Calm Down” video. Will it last? Only time will tell.

Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun

Unlike her years-long feud with Katy Perry, don’t expect Taylor Swift to make amends with Scooter Braun any time soon – or at all. I think she might be taking this one to the grave, and I don’t blame her for it. She has even had to start re-recording her old music just so she can own it after Braun bought all of her master recordings and then sold them without giving her the opportunity to buy the rights to her own music. This was pretty spiteful, considering Swift had been trying to get those rights for years.

But the disdain has been going on much longer than that. When Braun first acquired Big Machine Label Group (which included ownership of Swift’s music), the pop star went public with her feelings about the guy: “All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years.”

Taylor Swift and Kanye West

Look, Taylor Swift has no shortage of beef with other celebs. And if we’re being honest, Ye has no shortage, either. While these two seem kind of unlikely to even cross paths, they have… and they have a big drama-filled history.

It all started with that infamous incident at the 2009 VMAs, while Swift was accepting her award for Best Female Video. Ye interrupted her with the remark heard around the world: “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you. I’m going to let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time.”

We saw them again at the 2015 Grammys, accompanied by his new wife Kim Kardashian, looking like they were doing just fine. Swift presented Ye with an award at the VMAs that same year. However, the rapper dropped a song talking about Swift without her permission, and it all went downhill again. Ye claimed he got permission, and Kim K released a phone call that seemingly proved it… except it turned out the recording was edited, and Swift was telling the truth the whole time.

Kanye West and Drake

I just said that Ye has no shortage of feuds, and here’s another one of them. When Drake transitioned from actor to music artist, he often dropped Ye’s name as an influence. And when Drake released a debut album, Ye was listed as a producer and co-writer for a single.

Though they started on good terms, they’ve had a rollercoaster of a friendship over years. Between all the diss tracks, comments to the media, and that time that Ye may or may not have leaked info to Pusha T about Drake’s son. Then-wife Kim Kardashian got in on this one, too, tweeting directly at Drake.

Last year, we saw both Drake and Ye sharing photos of the pair together, so it’s easy to assume they’ve made up. But the rap heavyweights have obviously had a ton of ups and downs over the years, so it’s probably only a matter of time before the feud reignites.

Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel

Allegedly, The Rock and Vin Diesel didn’t get along on set, and their feud was brought to public attention when Dwayne called out Vin for his behavior on set for Fast & Furious. He didn’t really name the guy outright, but he slammed “male co-stars” for not being professional. There were a few other choice words in there, as well.

According to the Rock, he and Vin did have a discussion, but they didn’t exactly make peace. They just decided to leave it how it is and move on. But when Vin made an effort to lure Dwayne back to the Fast & Furious franchise, Dwayne said no way. He also not-so-subtly called Vin’s post manipulative for bringing up his kids and the late Paul Walker in it.

Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag

Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag were once inseparable besties and stars of the MTV reality show The Hills. That’s probably what made the feud even more bitter. It was during the show that Montag started dating co-star Spencer Pratt, who definitely did not get along with Conrad. In Conrad’s defense, I don’t think I could get along with him either.

After Pratt allegedly spread some rumors about Conrad and was an all-around slimy person (presumably for attention from cameras), Montag was like “oh well” and kept dating him anyway. Apparently, Montag was really unhappy about Conrad telling her best friend she couldn’t date the guy who was actively trying to ruin her life, which apparently equates to treating her like a dog.

Montag went on record just recently to criticize Conrad’s career choices, saying she could have been a billionaire but she just “didn’t make it like she should have.” I’m sorry, what are you doing lately, Heidi? Still riding that late 2000s MTV reality fame, or…?

Blac Chyna and the Kardashians

The serious drama between Blac Chyna and the Kardashian clan started years before she ever dating Rob Kardashian. There was a whole thing involving Chyna’s then-boyfriend (and baby daddy) Tyga, who started hanging around Kylie when she was only 17. It sparked a whole feud between the Kardashian ladies and Chyna. Chyna’s BFF Amber Rose got involved, Kylie’s sisters got involved–it was a whole thing.

So the natural next step is to start dating their brother Rob, right? The whole Kardashian family was livid, and they took nearly a month to even acknowledge when the pair got engaged. Things were going great for Chyna and Rob for a bit, starring in their own reality show and having a baby girl together.

But that feud reignited quickly, and everything went up in flames. Rob started accusing her of infidelity and posting some legally questionable content. Chyna sued Rob, Rob sued Chyna, Chyna sued the Kardashians…
