Bad news for Celine Dion fans.
The “My Heart Will Go On” singer was scheduled to begin her new Las Vegas residency at the Resorts World Theater on November 5, but her plans have been delayed following a recent health scare.
Celine’s Been Unable to Rehearse or Perform
“Celine has been experiencing severe and persistent muscle spasms which are preventing her from performing,” the statement from her team says, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Her medical team continues to evaluate and treat her. However, the symptoms she is experiencing are prohibiting her from participating in the ongoing rehearsals for the new show.”
Her shows were set to begin on November 5 and run through November 20. She was then scheduled to begin the second set of shows on January 19 through February 5. Unfortunately, however, both groups of shows will be postponed due to her health issues.
She’s Heartbroken Over the Decision
The legendary singer is devastated about having to move the shows, but she knows it’s for the best.
“My team and I have been working on our new show for the past eight months, and to not be able to open this November saddens me beyond words. My partners at Resorts World Las Vegas and AEG have been working around the clock to get this brand-new state-of-the-art theatre ready, and it’s absolutely beautiful,” she shared.

“I feel so bad that I’m letting them down, and I’m especially sorry for disappointing all the fans who’ve been making their plans to come to Las Vegas. Now, I have to focus on getting better… I want to get through this as soon as I can.”
As fans know, Celine is no stranger to performing in Las Vegas. In fact, she did her first-ever residency back in March 2003 and has been a staple in Sin City ever since.
Courage World Tour Is Still a Go
However, despite having to cancel her Vegas shows, her “Courage World Tour” is still scheduled to resume on March 9, 2022.

So, if you’re bummed about missing the “Taking Chances” singer in Vegas, you will have the chance to see her soon enough.
Feel better, Celine!
