It looks like Katy Perry has one less thing to worry about these days.

A judge has granted a permanent restraining order against the man she claimed was stalking her and directing threats at her family.

William Terry Ordered to Stay Away From Katy Perry and Family

The suspect is 38-year-old William Terry. With the restraining order in place, he has to stay 100 yards away from the songstress for the next three years, according to legal docs obtained by TMZ.

In addition, he also has to keep that same distance from Katy’s fiancé Orlando Bloom, their newborn baby girl Daisy Dove Bloom, and Orlando’s son Flynn from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr.

The guy is also prohibited from trying to contact Katy, her family, or her staff in any way — that includes on social media. He’s not allowed to post anything about her on social media, either. And of course, he’s not allowed to attend her concerts or any other live performances.

The “Smile” songstress first sought protection from William Terry after he allegedly jumped the fence at her Beverly Hills property back in September. He was picked up by cops for trespassing.

At the time of his trespassing, Katy was at home with her newborn. He refused to leave when apprehended by security. Her security team placed him under a citizen’s arrest and held him until the Los Angeles Police Department arrived.

William was later released after the incident.

According to Katy, he pulled the same stunt in August. Leading up to it, he had been posting alarming messages on social media for months.

Katy filed for protection out of fear that he’d try it again if she didn’t get court-ordered protection. Seems like a pretty legit concern, if you ask me.

Troubling Online Behavior on Twitter

William had plenty of troubling online behavior. His Twitter account was filled with alarming messages dating back to December 2019. They included comments about killing dogs and cops, tweets tagged #activeshooter, and threats to “snap Orlando Bloom’s neck.”

Oh, and he also wished for Orlando’s son and ex, Miranda Kerr, to “catch covid and die.”

Of course, his tweets also included plenty of troubling stuff about Katy herself, too. His online activity reportedly included numerous graphic and sexually explicit posts about her.

Mid-September, Katy was granted a temporary restraining order against William. It also protected Orlando, their newborn daughter, and Orlando’s son Flynn. The temporary order prevented William from coming within 100 yards away from the family.

Although, according to the docs, it was believed that William might be homeless, after authorities had a difficult time serving him the temporary restraining order.

Luckily for Katy and the rest of the fam, a judge issued a permanent restraining order that will cover the next three years.

Whether or not that will keep this deranged stalker (fan?) away… well, I guess we’ll see. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy to follow the law. However, at least there will be more severe consequences if he tries again, right?
