It’s time to get the party started (see what I did there?!) because Pink has officially reached icon status.
The legendary singer is set to receive the Icon Award at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, which is set to air on Sunday, May 23.
Pink Joins Cher, Stevie Wonder, and More as Billboard Icon Recipients

The announcement, which was made on Tuesday, May 4, cements Pink as one of the most prolific artists of her generation.
“As a little girl, I always dreamed about being a singer and sharing my love of music with the world. Years later, to receive the Billboard Music Awards Icon Award is hard to fathom!” she said in a statement.
“I feel so honored to join the ranks of music idols like Cher, Garth Brooks, Janet Jackson, and Stevie Wonder. It’s a true ‘pinch me’ moment and I feel humbled and blessed.”
In fact, Pink is only the tenth person to receive the Icon Award. Other winners include Mariah Carey, Prince, Jennifer Lopez, and Celine Dion.
Pink Is Also Set to Perform
Along with accepting her award, Pink is also set to perform at the ceremony. It will actually be her first time performing at the Billboard Music Awards in five years, as she last hit the Billboard stage in 2016 when she performed her hit song “Just Like Fire.”
It’s unclear what Pink will be performing, but it’s probably safe to assume she’ll do some sort of medley of her old and new songs.

Garth Brooks, who won this award last year, did a medley of his greatest hits, such as “Friends in Low Places,” “The Thunder Rolls,” and “The Dance.”
Some of the other performers set to hit the stage on Sunday night include DJ Khaled, H.E.R., Glass Animals, The Weeknd, AJR, BTS, and Duran Duran. Nick Jonas will be hosting the show this year.
