Movie theaters are back in a big way thanks to the upcoming release of Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Tickets for the third film in the Tom Holland-starring franchise went on sale on Monday, November 29, and sold more during its first day than any film since Avengers: Endgame.

In fact, No Way Home sold more first-day presale tickets than Avengers: Infinity War, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

As movie theaters struggle to bring in money due to the pandemic and box office numbers remain lackluster, the release of No Way Home could be exactly what the movie industry needs.

However, according to the trailer, things go terribly wrong and the multiverse is unlocked. This then results in visits from previous Spider-Man villains, such as the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, and Electro.

But, despite fan theories that previous Spider-Man stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are appearing in this third installment of the Tom Holland franchise, neither star was shown in the trailer.
