Capricorn season will soon be coming to an end. We have already listened to an exhilarating Capricorn playlist. But today, I’m making a list of film and TV characters who I believe exude Capricorn energy.
The strongest sign gets paired with God’s finest and most loyal soldier. Capricorns are known for their dedication to duty and their fiercely protective nature. And if that doesn’t fit Amenadiel to a T, I don’t know what does. The oldest angel does his best to uphold his dad’s orders and he is also protective of almost anyone he meets.
Sergeant Shadwell (Good Omens)
Capricorns are known to be great no-nonsense leaders who are just as charming as they are self-disciplined…and Sergeant Shadwell would certainly describe himself that way.
And honestly, being a witchy astrologer writer myself, I don’t want to get on Shadwell’s bad side, so I’m just pairing him with the sign I think he’d want to be paired with.
Is anyone really surprised that I paired Wayne up with Capricorn? I mean, Capricorn is the executive of the zodiac and he is the toughest, most hardworking man in Letterkenny. He can be very charismatic despite his no-nonsense nature, and he is very protective of his loved ones, especially his sister.
Edward would be a Capricorn because he is fiercely protective of Bella, almost to an overbearing degree. Damaging Bella’s car to prevent her from seeing her friend was pretty ridiculous. He is also a tad bit patronizing. But he is self-disciplined and is always ready to hold himself accountable.
Brad Majors (Rocky Horror Picture Show)
Capricorns are cardinal earth signs so they can be very protective and dependable. They also approach problems with a no-nonsense attitude. So of course I had to pair them with straight-laced Brad Majors. This is a perfect pairing because Janet is paired with Virgo so she would be compatible with a Capricorn.
Colin Robinson (What We Do in the Shadows)
Capricorns are often called workaholics and they feel quite comfortable in a healthy work environment. Colin Robinson also feels comfortable in a work environment because as an energy vampire, he can feed off his co-workers’ vitality.
Black Pete (Our Flag Means Death)
If Black Pete is a Capricorn, he is an emotionally immature Capricorn, which means there is hope that one day he will mature and take on some of the earth sign’s more desirable qualities. Like an emotionally immature Capricorn, he has an overinflated sense of ego. But as the show progresses we get to see his exceptional work ethic and his charm. Also, his relationship with Lucius is almost more adorable than Stede and Ed’s relationship. Almost.
General Badminton (Our Flag Mean Death)
With his superior leadership skills and his self-important personality, General Badminton fits many of the qualities associated with the cardinal earth sign. Capricorns value practicality, and one of the first things that Badminton does is point out how impractical Stede’s ship is.
Antonia Svenska (The Great)
I’m so sorry Sea-goats, but Lady Svenska is the best example of a Capricorn who has not reached emotional maturity yet. She demonstrates all the negative qualities of a Capricorn and almost none of the good ones. She is conniving, she holds grudges, and she manipulates the entire court into believing that Catherine *ahem* dated a horse. The only positive Capricorn quality she has is charisma.
Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)
You may be wondering, “how can one of the strongest signs be comparable to a sleepy princess?” Well, like the cardinal earth sign, Aurora radiates charm and charisma, which is why Philip was drawn to her in the forest. Side note: Guys, don’t approach random women in the woods. It’s creepy. Like a Capricorn, she shows a lot of self-discipline and reverence for duty when the faeries tell her she must marry a prince. Also, if there is any sign who deserves a rest, it’s Capricorn.
Kida (Atlantis: The Lost Empire)
This movie deserved way more love! Queen Kidagakash exudes charisma and self-discipline. She demonstrates self-sacrifice and leadership skills that no other Disney princess or queen has ever shown.
The Evil Queen (Snow White)
An emotionally mature Capricorn wants to be the best leader that they can be. However, an emotionally immature Capricorn only cares about eliminating the competition. Like the cardinal earth sign, The Evil Queen goes to great and gruesome lengths to eradicate her rival Snow White.
You may be wondering what Capricorn can possibly have in common with a giant robot. Let me explain. Capricorns are known to be strong and protective. Humongous acts as the gatekeeper for Jareth’s castle so that he can protect the Goblin King and all of his citizens. Capricorns are also to be mentally and emotionally strong, and what’s stronger than a giant metal robot?
Linda (Knives Out)
Like many characters in this list, Linda is no-nonsense and hardworking. Unlike other members of her family, she started her own business rather than resting on the laurels of her famous and accomplished father. Like Capricorn, she is not afraid to defend her father’s legacy or her own self-respect.
Miles Bron (Glass Onion)
Miles exhibits all of the cardinal earth sign’s negative traits and almost none of its positive traits. Like Capricorn who has not reached emotional maturity, Miles is egotistical and has an over-inflated sense of importance. He is also vindictive in the way he steals Andi’s company away from her. The only positive Capricorn trait he has is his charm.
Xavier Thorpe (Wednesday)
Poor Xavier got a pretty bad rep throughout the show. Wednesday was convinced that he was the Hyde monster when in reality he was just a protective dude with a crush. Like the cardinal earth sign, Xavier is a no-nonsense know-it-all and just a bit judgemental. But he is also fiercely protective of Wednesday. And he is absolutely charming.
Mayor Noble Walker (Wednesday)
As cardinal signs, Capricorns are known to have exceptional leadership skills. And Mayor Walker tries so hard to be a good leader for the town of Jericho. But it’s kind of hard when you have a Hyde monster running around and killing people and a vengeful teacher trying to resurrect an evil pilgrim. So maybe we should cut him some slack.
Fiona Goode (American Horror Story: Coven)
Like Capricorn, Fiona Goode is powerful, charismatic, and fiercely protective over her loved ones… to a point. But also like the cardinal fire sign, she can be incredibly self-involved. Though she does have a modicum of love for those around her, she mainly sees her family and allies as a means to an end.
Kiki (Kiki’s Delivery Service)
Kiki’s charisma and industriousness make her the perfect Capricorn. If she is not able to win people over with her helpful attitude, she manages to do so with her charm. She is an example to other Capricorn witches that kindness is the greatest magic of all.
Allison (Hocus Pocus)
The intelligent and down-to-earth Allison had to be paired with Capricorn. Like the cardinal earth sign, she is quite charming and knowledgeable, and she demonstrates excellent leadership skills. But also like Capricorn, she is a bit patronizing to Max… but let’s be real, he totally deserved it.
Principal McGee (Grease)
Capricorns have exemplary leadership skills and Principal McGee is the head disciplinarian at Rydell High. She is strict but warm-hearted like the cardinal earth sign. Though she often comes off as no-nonsense, she is not afraid to cut loose every now and then.
Elle Woods (Legally Blonde)
You should never underestimate a Capricorn. And you should never EVER underestimate Elle Woods! The cardinal earth sign will relate to Elle’s ambition and charisma. She demonstrates exceptional leadership skills as the head of her sorority. She is also incredibly self-disciplined like a Capricorn in the way that she forgoes her sorority parties to study for her LSAT.
Mr. Fischoeder (Bob’s Burgers)
I mentioned earlier in this article that earth signs have savvy business sense. And since Capricorns are a cardinal earth sign they are amongst the savviest. It is for this reason that Mr. Fischoeder has to be a Capricorn. He is also incredibly charismatic, just like the sea-goat.
Ebenezer Scrooge (A Christmas Carol)
Anybody who is familiar with the budgetary prowess of the cardinal earth sign will not be surprised by this pairing. I paired the iconic Christmas character with Capricorn, not only because they both have a tendency to be a bit stingy, but also because they know how to hold themselves accountable for their own wrongdoings.
