Don’t call it a comeback, y’all.
Lindsay Lohan has been out of the acting world for some time now, but the Mean Girls star is making her triumphant return to the silver screen in a Netflix holiday romantic comedy set to be released next year.
Despite the long wait time, the streaming service did give fans a first look at the film on Twitter, and I think it’s safe to say it’s going to be all anyone will be able to talk about in 2022.
Back and Better Than Ever
Netflix shared a photo of Lindsay and her co-star, former Glee actor Chord Overstreet, on Friday, November 12.
“She’s back! Here is your first look at Lindsay Lohan in her upcoming holiday rom-com, co-starring Chord Overstreet,” they tweeted alongside the photo.

Not much is known about the film, but Netflix did share a brief synopsis when announcing the project back in May.
“Lindsay Lohan will star in a new romantic comedy about a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident,” they said in a tweet.

The actress also shared a photo of herself from the film on Instagram with the caption, “Back at work and couldn’t be happier! Action!”
We couldn’t be happier either, Lindsay.
New Podcast on the Way
And, along with her holiday film, Lindsay also signed a deal to host her first podcast!
According to Studio71, this podcast will give The Parent Trap alum a chance to have conversations with friends and interesting people around the world.
“I’m excited to partner with Studio71 in the development and production of my podcast,” the 35-year-old said in a statement, according to Variety.

“I’m looking forward to connecting with more of my fans and having intimate conversations with friends and thought leaders across all industries.”
No official word on when episodes will begin to drop, but it sounds like they may be coming in early 2022.
2022 will be the year of Lindsay Lohan, we’re calling it now!
