It’s official! A whole lotta celebrities got engaged this year. So far, we’ve witnessed a staggering amount of celebrity proposals, rekindled romances, and big breakups in 2021. Chances are, even more engagements are still to come before we ring in 2022.
From longtime couples to warp-speed daters, one thing’s for certain: love is in the air again. In fact, another celebrity couple is probably getting engaged as we speak! So without further ado, here are the biggest celebrity couples to become affianced in 2021.
Lindsay Lohan and Bader Shammas
More happy news in 2021 for Lindsay Lohan! Not only is she set to star in a highly anticipated Netflix Rom-Com, she’s officially engaged. Cuddling up to Shammas and showing off her engagement ring on Instagram, the Mean Girls star captioned the announcement, “My love. My life. My family. My future.”
Jillian Michaels and DeShanna Marie Minuto
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Jillian Michaels told the world she’ll be saying “I do” to her girlfriend of three years. According to People, the celebrity trainer popped the question with a 7-carat emerald cut diamond designed by a family friend.
Taylor Lautner and Tay Dome
The Twilight star captioned Instagram shots from the day he proposed with “11.11.2021.” From the looks of Lautner’s many celebratory posts, the magical moment was rose-filled, candle-filled, and brimming with joy. He concluded the happy announcement by saying, “And just like that, all of my wishes came true.”
Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer
On November 2, the Spencer star told the world that Dylan Meyer proposed. They’ve been dating for about two years. “I think I very distinctly carved out what I wanted and she nailed it,” Stewart revealed on The Howard Stern Show. “We’re marrying, it’s happening.”
Kristin Chenoweth and Josh Bryant
After almost three years of dating, The Voice mentor and guitarist got engaged in October. “I’ve been the runaway bride,” Chenoweth told Vogue. “Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.”

Chris Harrison has officially started “the next chapter” with Lauren Zima. The former Bachelor host and his bride-to-be became engaged in October. Harrison proposed at a scenic overlook in Napa Valley, California.
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker
Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been all about each other since January, and now they’re officially getting hitched. The Blink-182 drummer proposed to the Poosh founder beachside on October 17. Surrounded by a sea of roses and candles, she said yes to “forever.”
Kal Penn and Josh Marlar
For the first time, Kal Pen opened up about his sexuality in his memoir, You Can’t Be Serious. To the surprise of many fans, he’s been in a serious relationship for 11 years. As of October 2021, they became engaged.
“Obviously I am engaged to a man and our families will be there for the wedding,” the Harold and Kumar star shared with People. “The big disagreement now is whether it’s a huge wedding or a tiny wedding. I want the big a** Indian wedding. Josh, hates attention, [has said], ‘Or we could just do a quick 20-minute thing with our families and that’s it.’ So we have to meet halfway in the middle.”

Kat Dennings and Andrew W.K. went public with their relationship in April 2021. By May, they were engaged. The 2 Broke Girls star shared the happy news via Instagram. Her social media announcement included three photos taken right after the “Party Hard” singer popped the question, and you can definitely feel the love.
Mark Ronson and Grace Gummer
After letting rumors fly all over the place, Ronson confirmed he became engaged to Meryl Streep’s daughter, Grace Gummer, in June. On his podcast, he revealed to his listeners that the huge diamond ring on Gummer’s finger was indeed an engagement ring.

Bella Thorne and Benjamin Mascolo announced their engagement back in March. On Instagram, Mascolo posted a bouquet of photos with his now-fiancée. He wrote, “She said YES,” in the caption, accompanied by a ring and a black heart emoji. Bella also gave Benjamin his own engagement ring to seal the deal.

These Broadway darlings fell for each other while playing Cady and Aaron in Mean Girls the musical. On Instagram, Henningson wrote, “I choose you always, thanks for choosing me best friend.” Selig gushed on his account, “I am lucky to have a best friend that has seen me through all the ups and downs, and I think I’d be stupid not to LOCK THAT DOWN. So we’re doing this, officially.” The limit to how cute these lovebirds are does not exist!

In a clip obtained by TMZ, Cline is seen on stage speaking into a mic before jumping down in front of Manning. He then gets down on one knee and proposes! The Orange is The New Black actress covers her face in surprise then kisses her now-fiance. No one is quite sure how long they’ve been dating, but it’s safe to assume it’s been going very well! Manning told TMZ, “It was the easiest yes I have ever said.”
Three months after getting engaged, the couple called it quits.
Taylor Hill and Daniel Fryer
On June 26, Taylor Hill announced she was engaged to her boyfriend, Daniel Fryer. On Instagram, the model gushed, “My best friend, my soulmate, I’ll love you always” along with “6/25/2021” and pink heart emojis. In the sweet photo slide, she included a shot of the moment her hubby-to-be got down on one knee by the sea.
Frankie Grande and Hale Leon
First came Ariana’s May wedding, then came brother Frankie’s engagement to Hale Leon the following month. Per People, the 38-year-old dancer proposed to his boyfriend while surrounded by friends and family. The happy couple now sports matching diamond-covered David Yurman engagement bands. Frankie says he’s already planning their big day.

After a series of breakup rumors, Jersey Shore’s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his girlfriend, Saffire Matos, got engaged in June. Not so surprisingly, Ronnie proposed to his now-fiance on the beach. Reportedly, he set up a private picnic and popped the big question with a $150,000 engagement ring.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum were dating for a little more than a year before becoming betrothed. The mega-famous socialite announced her engagement to venture capitalist Carter Reum on her 40th birthday. He reportedly proposed just a few days before while the two were on a private island vacay. Needless to say, “That’s hot!”

Go Ricki, Go Ricki! The former 90s talk show star became engaged to Ross Burningham in February. NASCAR’s Tony Stewart and drag racer Leah Pruett are also planning to tie the knot! These two first made each other’s hearts race back in 2019. However, they didn’t become an official item until 2020, when they came out as a quarantine couple. The NASCAR Hall of Famer and his bride-to-be describe their deepening bond as an “undeniable love.”
Kevin Love and Kate Bock
Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Sports Illustrated model Kate Brock have been engaged since January. Love proposed to Brock while they were celebrating her 33rd birthday. With so much to celebrate, the Canadian-born beauty took to her Instagram the next day and wrote, “I couldn’t be happier to have been asked to be a Love. Heart bursting all day & night.”

Figure skating champion Adam Rippon shared this happy news in February. According to the former figure skater, he and his boyfriend, Jussi-Pekka Kajaala, spent most of 2020 apart. On Instagram, Rippon revealed he followed his longtime love to Finland where they shoveled snow, Netflixed, and chilled.
