Oops! It looks like Chrissy Teigen accidentally revealed the sex of her third child!
On September 17, Chrissy took to Instagram Stories to drop an update for fans. I’m sure that many of her followers just assumed it would be a casual check-in, but they were certainly in for a surprise.
If you listen closely, you can’t help but notice Chrissy’s minor slip up — which is also a big reveal.
That tiny little slip up was actually Chrissy revealing the sex of her third child with John Legend.
When making the video, the soon to be mom of three was speaking about complications that led to her requiring to be on bed rest.
“I wanted to update you,” the 34-year-old began. “My placenta sucks. It’s always been kind of the bad part of my pregnancies with Luna. With Miles, it just stopped feeding him, it stopped taking care of him. I was stealing all his food because I was getting huge but he wasn’t getting big at all. He had to come out early and Luna had to come out early. I was induced both times.”
She continued, “Anyways, it’s super weak. The baby is really, really healthy and he is big!”
There it is! Yep, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are having another boy! This kind of slip-up happens all the time with expecting parents, but I’m surprised it happened so publicly for Teigen!
Chrissy realized her slip up and covered her mouth before saying, “I am stupid.”
But it’s too late now! The cat’s out of the bag.
“Anyway, so yeah it’s growing beautifully. Everything is good,” Chrissy continued her health update. “I’m feeling good but my placenta is really, really weak and it’s causing me to really bleed a lot.”
She goes on to explain that her placenta makes it “just pretty high risk.” That’s why the star is on bed rest for at least two weeks.
“This poor thing has been through so much already,” she continued. “We just have to get my placenta healthy again. And that means not moving so I’m on complete and total ‘don’t get out except to pee pee’ bed rest.”
Look, at least this gender reveal didn’t start a wildfire or anything, right?
This will be John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s third child together. The couple is already parents to daughter Luna Simone, 4, and son Miles Theodore, 2.
