On season 17 of The Bachelorette, we’re officially down to the final four. Can you believe it?
Time has certainly flown for Katie Thurston on her quest to not only fall in love but choose her husband. In episode 7, the 30-year-old lead made some tough, and downright devastating, decisions. By the episode’s end, she sent three great guys home and was left with lingering doubt. At one point, she asked an eliminated contestant to come back, but alas, it was not meant to be.
Luckily, there’s still so much more to come.
Ready or not, next week is hometowns week. If we’ve learned anything from seasons past, it’s sure to be a relationship-making or breaking experience for all involved. Or as the current Bachelorette put it, “meeting family can change everything in the most unexpected ways.” So before she’s faced with even tougher goodbyes, let’s take a look at the contestants still vying for Katie’s heart.
Get ready to place those bets on who will be the leading lady’s last man standing.
This single dad from Akron, Ohio started out apprehensive, but hopeful. Michael’s desire to compete for Katie’s affection was obvious, but his need to be there for his son, James, was everything. He says finding the right woman to bring into their lives is the most important part of this journey. As of right now, it looks like Michael believes Katie could very well be everything he’s been looking for. Soon enough, she’ll likely be meeting his son.
Justin Glaze has proven himself quite the catch. The investment consultant from Baltimore has courted Katie by showing his sensitive side and remaining true to himself. He’s also a talented painter. Unwilling to settle, this renaissance man says he’s looking for “the one” and that’s that. The more time he spends with Katie, the more Justin wonders if she could be it. But only time (and next week’s episode) will tell.
Blake Moynes arrived late to this love game. However, the Canadian sweetie has made up for lost time ever since. Always the life of the party, Blake was unlucky twice on the last season of The Bachelorette but says his connection with Katie is stronger. Luckily, their bond still has room to grow. In the latest episode, Blake let Katie know he was potentially “on his way” to falling in love, even if he wasn’t there just yet.
No matter what happens between them next, at least he’s being honest.
As of this moment, Greg has been dubbed the frontrunner. However, some wonder if the New Jersey native is more in it for the fame than for a relationship with Katie. No matter his motives, she’s super into the self-proclaimed “hopeless romantic” right now. In the latest episode, Katie awarded Greg the second one-on-one date. This made him the first contestant she invited on multiple individual dates.
The question is, will Greg prove he’s the man of Katie’s dreams or the secret villain of season 17? Stay tuned, friends.
The Bachelorette airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
