It’s been four years since Pretty Little Liars ended, and we’re all missing the mystery of “A”.
Well, get ready to solve yet another mystery from the world of the Liars!
Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin recently started filming, and we are already excited about who our new Liars will be.
Who Are the New Liars?
The new Liars, called the Little Liars, will be portrayed by Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Madison Bailee, Malia Pyles, and Zaria.
As shown in her role in American Horror Story: Asylum, Kinney is no stranger to horror. Kinney will play Tabby, an aspiring director and horror movie buff.
Reficco will portray Noa, a track star who’s working hard to get her life back to normal after spending the summer in juvenile detention.
Bailee will play Imogen. Like the other girls, she is described as a “final girl” who will work hard to uncover who “A” is as she fights for her and her friends’ lives.
Pyles plays Minnie, the youngest of the Little Liars. She spends most of her time in a virtual world because of childhood trauma. Pyles will be balancing the role with her recurring role on Batwoman.
And last but not least, Zaria will portray Faran, a poised and disciplined ballerina who dreams of getting out of Millwood. In addition to “A”, she also has to deal with microaggressions in ballet.

Who Else Is In Millwood?
Eight other actors were also announced in various roles.
Alex Aiono, Mallory Bechtel, and Eric Johnson will join the show as series regulars. Aiono will play Shawn, Noa’s supportive boyfriend. Bechtel will portray antagonist Karen, Millwood High’s popular mean girl. Johnson will play Sheriff Beasley.
Joining the cast in recurring roles are Carson Rowland, Jordan Gonzalez, Ben Cook, Elias Kacavas, and Benton Greene.
Rowland will play Chip, a film buff who has a not-so-secret crush on Tabby. Gonzalez will play Ash, a handsome transgender student who will be a romantic interest for Minnie. Cook will play Henry, Faran’s partner, on and off stage.
Kacavas will portray Karen’s boyfriend, Greg. Their relationship seems happy by day, but by night, it’s as tumultuous as Karen’s parents’ relationship.
Greene will play Faran’s father, Zeke, who struggles to balance his life at the steel mill and his daughter’s life in the ballet world.

Who Else Is Attached to the Project?
Original Sin will be produced by Muckle Man Productions and Alloy Entertainment in association with WBTV.
Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and Lindsay Calhoon Bring, who worked together on Riverdale and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, will serve as executive producers and writers.
Other executive producers include Michael Grassi, Carolina Baron, and Alloy’s Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolama.
Lisa Soper will direct the first two episodes. Soper was a production designer on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
None of the original Pretty Little Liars cast has signed on to return in acting roles.

Original Sin will follow a group of five teen girls as they are tormented by an unknown assailant known as “A.” Twenty years before the series, tragic events tore apart the blue-collar town of Millwood. “A” is out to expose those secrets as well as those of the Little Liars.
It is the third spinoff of Pretty Little Liars. The first was Ravenswood in 2014, followed by The Perfectionists in 2019. Both were one-season shows on Freeform.
“We’re such huge fans of what I. Marlene King and her iconic cast created, we knew that we had to treat the original series as #canon and do something different,” executive producers Aguirre-Sacasa and Bring said in a joint statement. “So, we’re leaning into the suspense and horror in this reboot, which hopefully will honor what the fans loved about the hit series while weaving in new, unexpected elements.”
The show began filming in August in Hudson, New York. It will air on HBO Max, following in the footsteps of the Gossip Girl reboot.
Though filming has already begun, what do you hope to see in the new show? And who do you think “A” will be?
