Hello, Clarice. Well, hello to the first teaser trailer for the new CBS series, Clarice, anyway. Silence of the Lambs is being revived into a new series that’s all about what happens next for Clarice Starling, the FBI agent from the 1991 hit movie.
The long awaited teaser trailer for Clarice was finally released by CBS, and it gives us a sneak peek about what to expect from this spinoff series.
Clarice Finally Makes a Return to the Screen
This marks the first time that we’re given an idea of what the main characters will look like, and the first time that Clarice has returned to the screen since 2001, when she last appeared in the movie, Hannibal.
Clarice is a series that explores the life of the FBI agent Clarice Sterling who was portrayed by Jodie Foster in the original Silence of the Lambs film. The official description of the new series by CBS reads:
“Clarice is a deep dive into the untold personal story of FBI Agent Clarice Starling as she returns to the field in 1993, one year after the events of The Silence of the Lambs.
Brilliant and vulnerable, Clarice’s bravery gives her an inner light that draws monsters and madmen to her. “
However, her complex psychological makeup that comes from a challenging childhood empowers her to begin to find her voice while working in a man’s world, as well as escape the family secrets that have haunted her throughout her life.”
